Question. What is the title of the bilingual book about Shōnen Jump that you mention?
ReplyDeleteIt's just called "The Shonen Jump Exhibition Catalog" in English on the cover, though it may have a different Japanese title. There are 3 volumes, covering the beginning of WSJ, the late 80s/early 90s era, and the 00s era, I believe. The interviews with Buronson & Hara are in vol 1. I have seen people selling them on places like Yahoo Japan auctions, but other than that I'm not sure where else you could find them, since they're sold only in the WSJ shop in Japan. Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteA bit of trivia. You mention when Kenshiro opens a water source with his abilities. Actually this makes tradition sense as the theory of meridians and the flow of ki originally was applied to the landscape. It was only later that it was applied to the body.
